August 27, 2011 - Cape is still showing promise as My Daddy’s Girl won another $50K stake race on Saturday. They are continuing to run to win.

August 27, 2011 at Hastings, Ton of Pride another 2 year old by Cape Canaveral won in a 6 ½ furlong race.

August 13, 2011 - My Daddy’s Girl - bred by HSF out of Crystal Forest * Cape Canaveral won the Filly’s Sales Stakes at Northlands by 2 ¾ lengths.

Black Canaveral by Cape Canaveral finished 3rd in the Sales Stakes.

King of the Rockies – by Cape Canaveral, also bred by HSF finished fourth in the Sales Stakes.

Hidden Attraction - by Cape Canaveral, bred by HSF - finished 5th in the Sales Stakes.

With 12 out of 13 HSF mares in foal for 2012 we are very proud. Also a perfect foaling season has ended and all the foals are doing great. Keep your eye out for the half sister to SP Lerois Warning born of May 6th and our first born out of Lady Glacken (Smoke Glacken) who is a full sister to Bears Artiste born on Jan 15th.

Kingoftherockies (Fabulous Brush * Cape Canaveral), bred by Highfield, won the $14,000 Maiden Special at Northlands July 29th.
Hidden Attraction another two year old by Cape Canaveral, bred by HSF, won his first race on Aug 1st at Northlands.
My Daddy’s Girl, a two year old filly by Cape Canaveral, bred by HSF, has ran twice, placing 2nd in the first race and 1st in her second race.

3 year old Stakes placed filly – Kennedy’s Halo, continues to win in the 2011 racing season.

2010 Breeding News

Sept. 13, 2010 - Highfield won leading breeder for 2010. Of 15 consigned they had 5 Stakes horses and 2 winners, 1 placed.

Jan.2, 2010...Santa Anita Park...Distorted Dave (Distorted Humor), a three-year-old colt bred in Kentucky and racing for Highfield Stock Farm and Stephen Johnson, rallied gamely along the rail to take a maiden special weight event at Santa Anita in his second career start. Distorted Dave is out of the Argentine-bred mare Crazy Ensign, a daughter of Fiery Ensign. The winner covered the five furlongs in 1:03.39.
